Jayde Adams’ Welcome to the Neighbourhood Returns

Jayde Adams’ Welcome to the Neighbourhood Returns

Jayde Adams' Welcome to the Neighbourhood is set to return to BBC Radio 4 for a second series on May 26th, with Adams and her guests diving once more into the curious world of community message boards. There’s plenty of drama in store this series when a front door in Manchester is attacked with salad cream; a chicken mysteriously disappears in Surrey; and one person in Bristol turns on his neighbours, suspicious at the rate that his milk is going off...

Guests this series include radio and TV presenter Nick Grimshaw, Mercury Prize-nominated musician Self Esteem, and comedian Isy Suttie, who will join Jayde as she brings listeners the best neighbourhood gossip and controversy.

The second series will drop as a boxset of ten episodes on BBC Sounds on May 26th and will also be broadcast at 14:45 each Friday on BBC Radio 4. The series is produced by Jon Holmes, creator of the award-winning BBC Radio 4 satire The Skewer.

Jayde Adams, award-winning comedian, actor, presenter and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, says: “Another fantastic season of nosing around neighbourhood spats and disagreements with some of my favourite people. Standing back and watching the general public descend into chaos over bin days and freecycling? I thought being in the Take That movie was the job of a lifetime, but season two of Welcome to the Neighbourhood, take a bow!”

Jon Holmes said, “It’s a joy to have the magnificent Jayde back for another series as she continues to rake through the hilarious real-life online postings of the nation’s most belligerent neighbours. Not so much Neighbourhood Watch, as a Neighbourhood Must-Listen.”
