Joz Norris, Ben Target, John-Luke Roberts, Benjamin Alborough & Sean Morley To Record Comedy Specials

Online comedy store and DVD production house Go Faster Stripe is recording a day of comedy specials at Moth Club in London on Sunday the 16th of July, including shows by some of the UK’s most acclaimed alternative comedians.

The full line-up includes Benjamin Alborough & Sean Morley’s Terry Wogan Screams, a new multimedia show devised for VAULT Festival 2023; Joz Norris’s Blink (one of the Evening Standard’s top comedy shows of 2022, co-starring Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Ben Target); Joz Norris’s Joz Norris Is Dead. Long Live Mr Fruit Salad (winner of the Comedians’ Choice Award for Best Show 2019) and John-Luke Roberts’ A World Just Like Our Own, But… (an Edinburgh Fringe sell-out hit just returned from runs at the Melbourne and Adelaide Comedy Festivals).

The day of show recordings will begin at 14:00 and finish at 22:00, with tickets to each individual show priced at £5.50, or an all-day ticket to all four shows available at the discounted price of £16.50.

The full details of the day’s schedule are as follows:

2pm - Terry Wogan Screams - Terry Wogan has returned from Hell to revive his light entertainment career. They tried to stop him but they couldn’t. Wogan (Benjamin Alborough) attempts to revolutionise the game show format while being supported by shiny floor comedian Sean Morley. No-one really knows what's going on.

4pm - Joz Norris: Blink - Former comedian-turned-legendary magician Joz Norris has perfected the hardest magic trick of all time - making an entire audience think, and blink, in unison. With the help of his glamourous assistant Ben Target, he's got absolutely everything figured out this time. Nothing can possibly go wrong. One of the Evening Standard's top comedy shows of 2022.

7pm - Joz Norris Is Dead. Long Live Mr Fruit Salad - Joz Norris has retired, or possibly died, who cares? All that matters is that Mr Fruit Salad, a fictional chimaera he created as a form of self-care, has developed autonomy and is putting on a solo show. An absurdist meditation on anxiety and grief performed by an idiot from Pontefract who doesn't exist. Winner of the Comedians' Choice Award for Best Show 2019. Nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality and the Chortle Award for Best Music & Variety Act.

9pm - John-Luke Roberts: A World Just Like Our Own, But... - There’s a world just like our own, but there isn’t a word for sand. There’s a world just like our own, but the keys on pianos are in random order so pianists really have to work for it. There’s a world just like our own, but Edith Piaf regretted five things. An Edinburgh Festival sell-out hit, John-Luke Roberts presents a show about all the worlds we don’t live in, which is sneakily about the one we do.
