NextUp Announces Edinburgh Fringe Streaming Lineup

Comedy streaming service NextUp have confirmed that they are once again bringing the Edinburgh Festival experience live to their streaming platform this summer. This means that viewers at home can enjoy 40+ comedy shows from the biggest arts festival in the world, experiencing the full range that the fringe has to offer - dank dark caves and swanky big arts spaces, rising stars and TV regulars.

NextUp have partnered with The Gilded Balloon and The Pleasance again, and this year have added Monkey Barrel and Assembly to their list of streaming partners. Comics on the lineup include: Nick Helm, Shaparak Khorsandi, Mark Watson and Hal Cruttenden (full line up below). As well as top quality solo shows, NextUp will also be curating a real ‘fringe experience’ by sharing some fringe highlights including Chortle’s Fast Fringe and Late n Live. To round off the experience audiences will be able to see the stars of the future via the infamous So You Think You’re Funny Awards Final.

NextUp’s Head of Comedy Tom says “The cost of living crisis means that it’s increasingly difficult for many to afford a trip to Edinburgh for the festival, particularly with the ever-rising costs of trains, accommodation etc.  The nature of a lot of the venues also means that accessibility is an issue for many. We’ve confirmed an insane line-up - a NextUp festival pass is the best value way to experience the fringe by far.”.

Here’s the full list, with more shows to be announced: Ikechukwu Ufomadu, Alexandra Haddow, Tadiwa Mahlunge, Bronwyn Sweeney, Lulu Popplewell, Mary O’Connell, Chloe Radcliffe, Tom Crosbie, Michelle Brasier, John Robertson, Late N Live, Mark Watson, Nick Helm, Milo Edwards, Ian Smith, Avital Ash, Chortle Fast Fringe, Flat & the Curves, Siblings, Lorna Rose Treen, Matty Hutson, Annabel Marlow, Darran Griffiths, Mamoun Elgalab, Tamsyn Kelly, Late N Live, Paddy Young, Shaparak Khorsandi, Jazz Emu, Showstopper, NewsRevue, So You Think You’re Funny: Final, All Killa No Filla, Sikisa, Sam Lake, Stuart McPherson, Liam Withnail, Paul F Taylor, Hal Cruttenden.

For the full ‘digital fringe’ experience, Fringe Passes (which allow access to all streamed gigs) for £35 are available at fringe.nextupcomedy.com.
