Comedian Lou Sanders has left Dancing On Ice. Sanders was one of two celebrities eliminated in the latest show. Roxy Shahidi also left.
Roxy and Lou were in the bottom three alongside Ricky Norwood. Roxy and her pro partner Sylvain Longchambon who had the fewest votes from viewer and then it was revealed that Sanders was eliminated too.
There were complaints on social media about the treatment of Sanders. In previous weeks when the judges were accused on undermarking her.
@mikepriestly was one of those unimpressed by the marking on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Lots of solo skating, the judges challenge was attempted was a good attempt now perfect. Should be high scores. #DancingOnIce"
@mrstanbrooks posted: "They’re seriously under marking Lou Sanders every week. Ryan fell over twice and got around the same scores as Lou when hers was pretty clean!"
teen there done that posted: "I had no idea who Lou Sanders was until #DancingOnIce but I am SICK of them putting her on early and the judges undermarking her every single week when she was delivering solo synchronised step sequences in WEEK 1… AXE these judges like they did Anne Boleyn"
Liz Bolas was a fan: "Just when you think you couldn't love Lou Sanders any more she goes and dances to Six #DancingOnIce #golou"
Last week Sanders caused a kerfuffle by describing the atmosphere backstage at ITV1's Dancing On Ice as "toxic".
The acclaimed stand up comedian, who grew up in Broadstairs, had been the pre-show favourite to be leaving the show after nearly being axed last week, but nobody expected there to be a double elimination – this is the first time two celebrities have been giving their marching orders in the same show.
Dancing on Ice is on ITV1 on Sunday nights.
