Tim Reid (Car Share, Meet The Richardsons) has launched a new podcast, through Keep It Light Productions, that promises to uncover the method behind the madness that drives our most creative comedians. Fist Of Firsts is the podcast that will uncover comedians’ backstories by exploring all their key “first times”, their pivotal first steps, as they carved out their career as one of the nation’s top funny people.
As well as being the creator and writer of award-winning TV sitcoms, including the BAFTA winning Peter Kay’s Car Share, Tim Reid has spent over 20 years working with big global brands helping them up their creativity and develop new ideas and products. His theory is that the people who make us laugh are some of the most creative on the planet because they think differently and see the world in unique ways. He wants to uncover and share with us all their creative process, the tools they use to keep coming up with new ideas, because he believes it’s something we can all learn how to do. He sets out that creativity is not a talent, it’s a way of thinking. And through his podcast, Fist Of Firsts, he wants to find out how the people who make us laugh think.
In the first series of Fist Of Firsts Tim talks to a string of A-list comedians, including Jon Richardson, Richard Herring, Kemah Bob, Seann Walsh, Zoe Lyons and Adil Ray and they chat about their different journeys into the world of comedy and how they manage to keep the funny stuff flowing.
