Stath Lets Flats star Jamie Demetriou and Baby Reindeer star Jessica Gunning are two of the names providing voices for a new comedy animation about rival video games stores set to air at the BBC Comedy Festival in Glasgow and then on BBC Three next week.
There’s only room for one video games shop on the Green Hill high street and that’s just about the only thing that Dave, owner of Dave’s Games and Melvyn, owner of the brand new, futuristic rival shop, Turbo Gamez, can agree on. Sure, Turbo Gamez has a web café and will be releasing the first ever PlayStation, but Dave’s Games stocks some of the oldest video games you’ve ever seen (even for 1995). What will the future hold for the competing games shops of Green Hill?
The 15- minute animated comedy short, Dave’s Games, will be broadcast at 21:50 on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on the 27th May and will be screened at the BBC Comedy Festival which finishes today.
