Ricky Gervais Announces Show Dates, World Tour And Netflix Special Title

Fresh from his most recent stand-up special 'Armageddon' winning a Golden Globe, hitting Number 1 on Netflix and claiming the world record for the highest grossing comedy gig of all time, Ricky Gervais has today announced the title of his next world tour and Netflix special: 'MORTALITY'. 

Official 'Ricky Gervais: Mortality' dates will be announced at a later stage, with the tour due to kick off later this year and run until the end of 2025, taking in all of Gervais's favourite arenas around the world. It will once again be filmed for Netflix. 

On the theme of the new show, Gervais said, “We’re all gonna die. May as well have a laugh about it. Mortality looks at the absurdities of life. And death. Bring it on.”

Ricky has already done 50 work-in-progress shows, which he is continuing through the summer in the lead up to the start of this new world tour. 

More work in progress dates are constantly being announced, some at earlier times if you have to be in bed by a certain time. the central London dates tend to be at Leicester Square Theatre.

Gervais recently posted on X, formerly Twitter, 'As my old nan used to say "If you haven't got anything nice to say, then fuck off & be a cunt somewhere else." Wise words nan. Wise words.'

Her also posted 'Thanks to everyone who complained about this trailer and even signed a petition to get #Armageddon removed from Netflix. You helped make it the most watched special in the world'
