New York Comedy Festival Run For Connor Burns

New York Comedy Festival Run For Connor Burns

Rising stand-up star Connor Burns is set to play a run of shows at the New York Comedy Festival.

The official line-up of the Festival has just been released and the young Scot has simultaneously also been selected to be part of the prestigious Fringe Encore Series at the Soho Playhouse.

Burns will perform his smash hit Edinburgh Festival Fringe show "1994", from 12-17 November, adding the seven US performances to his so far 100+ British, Australian and European dates. The show, named after the year of Connor’s birth, is an examination of how things have changed since the good old days before he was born.

Despite having no UK television profile to speak of, Burns has been tipped as a major breakout star, via a rapidly expanding social media profile and traditional live audience word-of-mouth. When Burns played the Edinburgh Fringe in August extra dates had to be added to meet demand. He sold close to 8000 tickets.

He has opened for Daniel Sloss in the UK, Australia and in the premiere show of 2023’s New York Comedy Festival. He closed the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala at the Sydney Opera House and also taped a set for Just For Laughs in the landmark venue.

A prolific joke writer, his native Scottish-eye-view and a razor-sharp, self-deprecating wit has seen his fanbase explode. His first special "Vertigo" has been filmed for release.

"Connor Burns: 1994" begins a 40-date UK tour this autumn, resuming in January 2025 and finishing off with two nights at the King's Theatre as part of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival on 14 and 15 March 2025.

All of his tour dates, including his New York shows, are here.
