Lucy Beaumont, Johnny Vegas, Kae Kurd & Babatunde Aléshé Take On World's Most Dangerous Roads

Johnny Vegas & Lucy Beaumont and Babatunde Aléshé & Kae Kurd are the comedians taking part in brand new episodes of World’s Most Dangerous Roads, which returns to U&Dave in November. Friends from the comedy circuit Johnny and Lucy drive through Montenegro, while long-time friends Babatunde and Kae travel to Zambia.

Johnny Vegas said, “I can't believe I've such fond memories of being so bloody terrified at times. I can only put it down to Lucy Beaumont's inexhaustible quirky humour under pressure and Montenegro's stunning variation of landscapes. Both tears of fear and laughter made it an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime"

Lucy Beaumont said, “I still can’t believe I made in one piece; I must admit I didn’t want to be on a dangerous road with Johnny driving, but I didn’t want to leave either. What started out as a white-knuckle ride turned out to be a spiritual experience which cemented that me and Jonny will be lifelong friends”

Babatunde Aléshé said, “I absolutely loved taking part in World’s Most Dangerous Roads. As someone of African heritage, this journey meant so much to me, especially to experience it with my good friend Kae.”

Kae Kurd said, “One of the best experiences of my life. Challenging, fun and eye opening, and with a great companion too.”

In addition to these two new episodes, Rhod Gilbert – who previously visited Nepal and Italy for a pair of episodes - narrates a compilation of the finest moments of the show so far, World’s Most Dangerous Roads: Rhod Gilbert’s Extra Mile.

World’s Most Dangerous Roads is commissioned for UKTV by Helen Nightingale, head of factual and factual entertainment, and ordered for U&Dave by Cherie Hall, channel director, and Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning. World’s Most Dangerous Roads is produced by Ricochet and the executive producer is Sandy Watson.

The three new episodes of World’s Most Dangerous Roads will air on U&Dave and U in November. Three more brand new episodes of World’s Most Dangerous Roads will follow in 2025.
