Amy Gledhill And Harriet Kemsley Launch Single Ladies Podcast

Comedians and newly single women in their 30s Amy Gledhill (Edinburgh Comedy Award 2024 Winner, The Jonathan Ross ShowWould I Lie To You?) and Harriet Kemsley (Live at the Apollo8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Hypothetical) are launching a brand-new, hilarious and explorative podcast, Single Ladies in Your Area.

Amy and Harriet are trying to navigate the dating scene - but the landscape has changed. How do you flirt? What’s the best dating app? Do love spells work? They’ll speak to experts and friends, talk about dates they’ve been on and share their listeners’ dating horror stories to try to figure it all out and feel less alone.

Reflecting on their own turbulent dating journeys, Harriet and Amy will have fascinating conversations with sex and relationship therapists, alongside revealing chats with fellow comedians to explore what it means to be single in the modern dating landscape and to gain top tips on how to navigate the challenges of being single in your 30s.

Together the pair will cover a huge range of topics, including dating apps, first dates, body language, what constitutes a red flag, speed dating, divorce, self-worth and of course - getting the ick.

Guests will include Vogue dating columnist and author Annie Lord, internationally-renowned stand-up comedian Lou Sanders, relationship therapist and author Charlene Douglas and many more famous faces and relationship advisors.

Single Ladies in Your Area launches 4 October 2024 and will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and all major podcast platforms. The podcast is hosted by Acast.

Harriet Kemsley said: “I am very excited to find love the traditional way, through a podcast. We’ve had some brilliant and actually useful guests on already and turns out everything we’re doing is wrong. It’s so fun to do it alongside my brilliant funny friend Amy so the whole process has felt less well, terrifying. We hope we’re going to find a community of other horny singles, cross that out, strong individuals navigating the dating world.”

Amy Gledhill said: “Sometimes you start a podcast because you want to. Sometimes you start a podcast because you NEED to. This is the latter. We're in dire need of guidance, advice and someone to say 'It's okay to be this much of a disaster." More than anything, it is an unadulterated joy to spend time with Harriet, one of my favourite ever people and go on this awkward, terrifying, brilliant, crap journey to find love with her and the listeners. We hope people who find this feel accepted into our circle of no shame and have a laugh with us. You've got to laugh. Or you'll cut a fringe and text your ex.”
