Josh Glanc, corporate lawyer turned oddball comic, is set to take his smash-hit show ‘Family Man’ on a worldwide tour, following his nomination for Best Show at the 2024 Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
After his current residency at London’s Soho Theatre (30th Sept - 5th Oct), the “human fireworks show’ (Rolling Stone) will take his explosively funny hour across the UK and to Spain, Iceland, the USA, and Australia. Tickets will be available via joshglanc.com at 10am on Friday 4th October.
The mustachioed Aussie silly-billy has escaped the rat race to find his people, but at what cost to his family life? Through original music, photography, dance, electric crowd chemistry and a soundboard leant to him by Abandoman, he’s created a “wackily inventive absurdism all his own” (Times).
The Perth Comedy Festival Critics’ Choice Award winner gives us an onslaught of the ridiculous where wonderfully silly songs, surreal stand-up and collusive, tender crowd-work all combine to make us all feel like a big, happy, hyperactive family. Directed by John-Luke Roberts.
‘Family Man’ is also a ‘Playground’ short comedy released on Channel 4 Mon 16 September. It features some of Josh’s classic songs and sketches. Produced by Boffola and directed by Will Farrell. Josh’s Comedy Special ‘Vrooom Vrooom’ was released in 2024 by Nashville record label 800 Pound Gorilla Records, and his accompanying album with original songs is available on Spotify.
This year he appeared on the Melbourne Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, and was chosen for a prestigious spot at the Just for Laughs Festival in Austin.
