Just in case you hadn't heard, The Jonathan Ross Show is back for a new series on Saturday nights. The guests in the first show are actor Brian Cox, Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse and Strictly champion Chris McCausland. Plus, music by Snow Patrol.

Some people say that The Graham Norton Show is better than Ross, but even Graham Norton couldn't get much out of Robert De Niro the other week. It is an indication of how long Norton has been going that when he had Pamela Anderson on this week it was pointed out that she had been interviewed by him over twenty years ago.

Jonathan Ross is also a pretty seasoned interviewer. I think it's OK to call him a veteran now. It'll be interesting to see if he can winkle something new out of Chris McCausland, who has become a TV fixture ever since he became the first blind contestant to be on Strictly Come Dsncing. Oh, and in case you hadn't heard, he went on to win Strictly Come Dancing. He is currently on tour with his own show, Yonks!

Succession star Brian Cox (not to be confused with his scientist namesake as a hotel once did when they both booked in) will possibly be doing his grumpy brear impersonation again and will definitely be talking about his new West End play The Score. He is always good value for money. Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse is another cool TV stalwart. Maybe she will try and coax Chris into doing some ice skating. That would be interesting.

The Hollywood glamour comes from Christina Hendricks, who is about to star in the new Chris O'Dowd Sky comedy Small Town, Big Story.
