Representatives of the comedy industry and the Live Comedy Association (LCA) are to meet with the government DCMS select committee this week. This is an opportunity for politicians to hear more about how the live comedy sector works and ask any questions of the people on the panel.

The evidence session will be on Tuesday 29th April from 10am and the speakers are confirmed as:

Sharon Lockyer - founder of the Centre for Comedy Studies Research (CCSR)

If you are in the London area, you are able to attend in person.  Or if you would rather watch online, this is also possible.  Full details are available by following this link 29 April 2025 - State of Play: Live comedy - Oral evidence - Committees - UK Parliament

The LCA will report back after the session. If you want to know more, and ask the LCA Directors any questions, there is an LCA members online meeting on Wednesday 30th April at 2.30pm.  Register to attend this FREE meeting here Meeting Registration - Zoom
