Sam Simmons has won this year's Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The other nominees were Luisa Omielan, John Kearns, Steen Raskopoulos, Damien Power and Lawrence Mooney.

The Best Newcomer Award went to Corey White. The other nominees were Juan Vesuvius, Sam Campbell & Heidi O'Loughlin.
