Bafta Awards For Alma's Not Normal, Strictly With Chris McCausland

The Bafta TV Awards have been handed out in a ceremony hosted by Alan Cumming.

Here are ther results as they come in.

Alma's Not Normal won Best Scripted Comedy.

Would I Lie To You? was the winner of the Best Entertainment Series. Lee Mack got a laugh by joking that maybe they only won the award, sponsored by P&O Cruises, because WILTY host Rob Brydon once did adverts for P&O. David Mitchell pointed out that it was the first time they had won an award - the category they had previously been nominated in had been dropped and maybe next time they'd be in the News category.

Danny Dyer won Best Male Performance in a Comedy for Mr Bigstuff.

Ruth Jones won Best Female Performance in a Comedy for Gavin and Stacey. Jones particularly thanked James Corden in her speech saying "without him Nessa would simply not exist".

Jessica Gunning won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Baby Reindeer.

Strictly Come Dancing won the P&O Cruises Memorable Moment for Strictly winner Chris McCausland performing a waltz to ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ with Dianne Buswell. McCausland was unable to attend but Dianne Buswell passed on his message: "After 22 years in comedy I win a Bafta for dancing. I'll take it but please let them know it hurts."

For the second consecutive year, Joe Lycett was awarded the Bafta for Entertainment Performance for his show Late Night Lycett.

The P&O Cruises Memorable Moment award is the only one of the Television Awards voted for by the UK public. It celebrates moments of on screen magic that have captured the nation’s imagination and is chosen by the public from six nominees that are carefully selected by an independent jury of national media experts.
