Sara Pascoe And Cariad Lloyd Return For More Weirdos Book Club

Sara & Cariad’s Weirdos Book Club is returning for a third series. Hosted by Sara Pascoe and Cariad Lloyd, the podcast has already delighted listeners across its first two seasons, earning a loyal following and amassing over 1.2 million downloads.

The new series launches on 29th May and will be available on all major podcast platforms. Listeners can subscribe now to catch every episode as it drops.

Weirdos Book Club is the exception to the book club rule - you don’t even need to have read the book. It’s truly a space for the lonely outsider to feel accepted and appreciated. With the turn of every page Sara and Cariad, take their listeners on a cover-to-cover adventure along with their comedian and writer friends. Each week, they discuss a book that is special, stimulating and perhaps, most importantly – weird! It’s the book club with no homework;  whether you’ve read the book, skimmed the blurb, or just like the sound of Sara and Cariad’s voices – jump in! They’re not precious – no side-eyes, no stern looks, just good chat.

Previous guests include the likes of Naomi Klein, David Nicholls, Nish Kumar, Ian Rankin, Marian Keyes, Sally Phillips, Yomi Adegoke, Roisin Conaty and Kate Mosse.

The first guest featuring in this series is the award-winning Laura Bates on her “fascinating and essential” (Jo Brand) new book 'The New Age of Sexism’.

Sara Pascoe said: “I am so looking forward to having even more silly and brilliant conversations about books. Listeners can read along with us or enjoy the chat without any of the homework!”

Cariad Lloyd said:” I am thrilled, delighted, overjoyed and ecstatic to carry on reading with Sara and all the other weirdos, strangers, unusual folks out there. Reading is good for your health, well-being, sense of self, interior emotions and also helps improve your vocabulary.”

The podcast is produced by Plosive – the team behind award-winning podcasts including Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster, Lucy & Sam’s Perfect BrainsNorthern News and Single Ladies In Your Area.
