800LB Gorilla Comedy label has announced that the long-awaited comedy special from Scotland’s rising star Connor Burns, VERTIGO is set for world-wide release on Wednesday 9 July at 19:00 BST

This punchline-packed debut sees Connor musing on submarines, ageing knees, relationships and the inevitable family drama. His material is served via the signature powerhouse delivery by one of the fastest rising new stand-up stars in the global live stand-up scene. Connor’s prolific joke writing, his intelligent, razor-sharp wit and relatable friendly persona is punctuated by a healthy Scottish-level cynicism that has also seen him become a social media sensation.

VERTIGO was Connor’s first major solo tour, and an Edinburgh Festival Fringe smash-hit - he sold over 10,000+ tickets in his home town before he even took the show on tour – a feat all the more remarkable as he achieved this through word-of mouth, and with no UK television exposure. He toured Vertigo for 40 dates in the UK, made his New York off-Broadway debut, opened for Daniel Sloss in 3 continents, and performed a 6 week tour across Australia, where he closed the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala at the landmark Sydney Opera House as well as taped his Just For Laughs set.

Vertigo may be Connor's first comedy special to get a global release, but it's fair to say. it will not be his last.
