London Venue To Stage Special Event Explorimg Safety In The Comedy Industry.

London's Museum of Comedy is to stage a special live event entitled Reclaim The Comedy Night, bringing together comedians, promoters and industry professionals for an important and entertaining conversation about safety in the comedy industry. 

Over the past year, the University of Kent has conducted an impact project focused on harassment in the live comedy industry. The findings will be shared at this event which will include a comedy show featuring comedians tackling the theme of harassment in the industry with honesty and humour.

There will also be a pnel discussion on the subject exploring the findings, with researchers Get off Live Comedy. Audience members will be able to share their experiences of harassment.

Among those taking part are Kate Smurthwaite, Maple Zuo, Alex Franklin, Njambi McGrath and Nikola McMurtrie.

Alice Frick and comedy writer/lecturer Oliver Double from Kent University will be the MCs.

The event will take place at the Museum of Comedy in Holborn on Sunday, November 16 at 4pm.
