A brand new comedy festival is taking place later this month in Maynooth outside Dublin.

The first ever Mayhoots will be on April 24 & 25 and will feature predominantly Irish comics in shows all day and all evening into the night. In total there will be more than 30 shows.

Over half of the shows shows are free entry with a “pay what you want” model.

Acts appearing range from veteran Irish comedian Kevin Gildea to local acts, newcomers and rising stars.

Some performers are doing work-in-progress sets, some are doing finished shows. All venues are within walking distance of each other.

It is easy to get to Maynooth from Dublin and Kildare.
