GO GET ARTY – the ‘how to’ art series for the modern world is returning for a second series on CBBC and BBC iPlayer this summer, from Monday 6th July 2026.
Produced by Ranga Bee Productions for the BBC, the show launched in 2025 as a fresh-take on an art series for the next generation, hosted by its real-life arty family, the Kwapongs, alongside their hilariously irreverent animated sidekick Bristles the talking paintbrush (voiced by Harry Hill).
Go Get Arty encourages kids to have a go - proving that the fun is in the making, not the masterpiece.
And series two is set to return even bigger than before, packed to the brim with a host of celebrity-led drawalongs, as famous faces lead kids step by step through fun (and often very silly) drawings, emphasising the show’s core message – pick up a pen and have a go. Guests include Josh Widdicombe, Gladiator’s Fire (Montell Douglas, Alex Horne, James Acaster, Joe Wilkinson, Roisin Conaty, Maisie Adam, Kadeena Cox, Mollie Pearce, Dame Sarah Storey, Rose Matafeo, Jamie Smart (Bunny Vs Monkey), Nadia Shireen (Grimwood) and Ravneet Gill.

The Kwapongs have even more arty adventures as they head to Tate Britain, and the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool for Art In The Wild, where they look at masterpieces by the likes of John Singer Sargent, Stanislawa De Karlowska & Hans Holbein the Younger, and add their own ideas (wild as they like!) to the paintings, which are then brought to life through graphics.
Back in the Go Get Arty House, the competition continues as twins Beatrice and Olivia face off in fast-paced, laugh-out-loud art games that anyone watching can play too, like Is It Paint?, spotting hyper-realistic art from the real thing; Does it Fit?, finding hidden additions in famous paintings; and Say the Colour Not the Word, which is harder than it sounds! In Portrait Copycat, the Kwapongs take turns transforming each other into iconic artworks like American Gothic and Mona Lisa - using only household items - with results that have to be seen to be believed! In Art Showdown, two family members go head-to-head to create their best piece in under thirty minutes - proving you don’t need hours to make something amazing; you can do it between school and tea!
In the awe-inspiring Art Wow segments, kids get to see professional artists create incredible pieces from start to finish, including Hatch turning a disused fire-truck into a piece of art, Jamie Wardley creating the sandcastle from your dreams, Hannah Lemon creating a miniature bedroom, Favour Jonathan making a leopard out of metal, and Simon O’ Rourke turning a dead tree stump into a dragon!
Meanwhile, Bristles Brief Guide To… offers a whirlwind tour through art history at break-neck speed and packed with loads of brilliant archive. From Pablo Picasso to Andy Warhol, Chris Ofili to Hilma af Klint - and many more! It's a bite-sized art masterclass, served up with Bristles’ trademark comic twist. We promise - you’ve never learned about art like this before!
On Go Get Arty’s return for a second series, Harry Hill said: “It is a pleasure to be back encouraging kids to Go Get Arty. The show is always packed full of artistic content and of course, me messing about as a talking brush.”
