House Of Games Guests This Week

House Of Games Guests This Week

Some strong comedy representation on this week's run of House of Games presented by Celebrity Traitor Michael Sheen. The guests are Les Dennis, Jenny Eclair, Owain Wyn Evans and Lauren Patel.

Let's not beat around the bush, Jenny Eclair and Les Dennis are both what might be deemed veteran performers, but they are also both at the top of the game and working as hard as ever in what can often be seen as an ageist industry.

Jenny Eclair still writes and gigs and podcasts and can often be heard talking about the joys of gandmotherhood. She has a new book coming out next February co-authored by Judith Holder, The Book of Nanas: The Perfect Gift for the World's Best Grandma. Herr last book Jokes, Jokes, Jokes, was an autobiography which also inspired a tour of the same name. Eclair can be sharp and funny so it'll be interesting to see how she does on the show.

Les Dennis seems to have been around for ever but he is actually only 73. Over the years he's done everything under the sun from stand-up to panto to straight drama and game show hosting, most famously he hosted ITV's hit show Family Fortunes. but to a different demographic he is probably most famous for showing his bum in Extras alongside the star of the show, Ricky Gervais.

Eclair and Dennis are up against Owain Wyn Evans, the Welsh weatherman who maide his name playing the drums on TV.

Comedy fans will also recognise Lauran Patel who appeared in one of this year's best sitcoms, Small Prophets, as Kacey, alongside Pearce Quigley, Michael Palin and Mackensie Crook, who wrote the series. It will return next year.
