Update - Romesh Ranganathan has now joined the line-up below.
Following the all-star comedians' fight night fundraiser for Kian Musgrove a benefit stand-up gig has also been arranged. Caring for Kian takes place in Brighton on April 6.
Three-year-old Kian is battling Neuroblastoma, a highly aggressive form of cancer and, sadly, the treatment options in the UK have been all but exhausted. His only hope for survival rests in a pioneering new treatment in America which, including aftercare, will cost £555,000. The boxing gig in Blyth in February, hosted by Rhod Gilbert and featuring a huge line-up of comedians, raised £30,000 so a lot more money is still needed.
The show at Brighton's Komedia, compered and organised by Aiden Goatley, will feature Zoe Lyons, Mitch Benn, John Robertson and Abi Roberts. The acts have all waived their fees for the evening to help raise as much money as possible for the treatment and aftercare which Kian desperately needs.
Aidan Goatley says “the response to this cause has already been breathtakingly generous and it’s such an honour for these big name acts to be part of it - now I'm off for a lie down and a bit of a happy cry.”
