Jenny Eclair was forced to postpone shows on her current How To Be A Middle Aged Woman (Without Going Insane) tour at the weekend due to illness.
On Saturday she apologised to her fans via Twitter: "I'm on steroids for a chest infection. I was gasping for air on stage last night I'm so sorry everyone - I need to mend."
Performances at the Y in Leicester and the Stables in Milton Keynes were postponed. Tickets will be transferable to the new dates when they are announced.
Writing on Twitter on Sunday (Mother's Day) she said: "For mothers day my daughter gave me a lemon and ginger tea, a vics infusion compete with towel over my head and some extract of beetroot." She added today: "Apologies to everyone I let down over the weekend- I am so very sorry- I'm now resting like crazy to get back on my feet."
In April Eclair is due to appear on television on the W Channel in reality series Battlechefs, in which celebrities, also including Blur's Alex James and impressionist Debra Stephenson, take each other on at cooking while cruising around the Mediterranean. The series has already been filmed so will go ahead as planned.
Eclair's next tour date is at the Lowther Pavilion in Lytham on March 9 and at the moment it is still scheduled to go ahead.
