Caitlin and Caroline Moran have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund new episodes of their comedy Raised By Wolves.
After a successful #upthewolves online campaign in August, the Morans are asking fans to fund at least one new episode to give the world a further slice of Aretha’s misanthropy, Grampy’s complicated love-life, Germaine’s sexual awakening, and Della’s Ripley-from-Aliens-in-CostCo parenting. The series stars Helen Monks, Alexa Davies, Rebekah Staton and Philip Jackson.
The campaign’s initial goal is to fund one episode with future episodes determined by funds raised and partners sought. The campaign offers rewards for pledges from £5 to £5000, with packages including extra roles, VIP premiere tickets and the 'Crack on with Tuesday' collectible mug. Fans can also get their name in credits and visit their favourite characters on set. Executive Producer credits are also up for grabs (highlight packages below). All rewards £20 and upwards include the download of the first special episode of Raised By Wolves 3 but fans will also get all the episodes if the the series if funded.
This project will only be funded via this Kickstarter campaign if at least £320,000 is pledged by November 20. Contribute here: savethewolves.co.uk
Raised By Wolves was voted the 9th Best sitcom of the 21st Century by Radio Times, and won the Rose d’Or for Best sitcom of 2016. It sold around the world with, Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (Juno) adapting it for an American audience. But C4 decided not to commission a third series. The Moran sisters launched the #upthewolves hashtag and within a month #upthewolves generated 20,000 people signing up to the Raised By Wolves Facebook page, mobilising to bring the show back.
