Could Richard Ayoade be in the frame to join Paul Hollywood when Channel 4 takes over broadcasting the cookery show?

According to stories in various tabloids the host of Travel Man and star of The IT Crowd is being considered at the channel.

A 'source' has been quoted in The Sun and other publications as saying that “Richard is a really popular choice at the minute, as many think he’s got a great character that would bring a great spark to the show. He’s got a wonderful off-beat sense of humour, which would really fit the change of channel – and would no doubt be a popular choice with viewers too. It’s still early days, but he is definitely up there and now the leading candidate.”

However, Buzzfeed's Bake Off Correspondent (yes, there is such a person) Scott Bryan has tweeted that "Channel 4 tells me that Richard Ayoade joining Bake Off is not true. They say that they have not approached anyone to host or judge yet."
