Ayesha Hazarika, a former special advisor to Ed Miliband and Harriet Harman, is returning to stand-up comedy and sets out on a full UK tour starting with dates at the Soho Theatre from April 18.
Hazarika had been a stand-up before working for the Labour Party. She left front line politics and performed Tales from the Pink Bus at the Edinburgh Festival last summer. Since then she has become a regular TV commentator and has appeared on shows such as Matt Forde’s Unspun for Dave, Good Morning Britain (ITV), Sky Papers (Sky News), The Andrew Marr Show (BBC1), Newsnight (BBC2), The Agenda (ITV) and The Today Programme (BBC Radio4).'State of the Nation' is one of the best things to come out of British politics in a long time.
In her latest show State of the Nation she lifts the lids on what it is really like behind the scenes in politics.
