Jennifer Saunders is to appear in the West End for the first time in over a decade.

She will star in Lady Windermere's Fan by Oscar Wilde. It will be directed by Kathy Burke and will run at the Vaudeville Theatre as part of a 12-month season of Oscar Wilde productions.

The Ab Fab star will play the Duchess of Berwick. Kevin Bishop, who is about to appear in the BBC's reboot of Porridge, will play Lord Darlington, while Samantha Spiro will play Mrs Erlynne.

Saunders has regularly worked with Kathy Burke over the years, most notably in Absolutely Fabulous. Kathy Burke tweeted: "Can't wait to boss 'em around and after 30yrs of giving me work it was high time I employed Saunders."

Lady Windermere’s Fan runs from January 12 to April 7.
