Dave Gorman is set to embark on brand new tour entitled With Great Powerpoint Comes Great Responsibilitypoint in Autumn 2018. It starts at the Salford's Lowry Theatre on September 6 and currently ends on November 29 at Aberdeen's Music Hall.
Gorman will combine his unique style of stand-up and visual storytelling at some of the biggest theatres in the country including London’s Royal Festival Hall (Southbank Centre) on the 31st October. This will be Dave’s first new live tour show in four years and follows on from Dave Gorman Gets Straight To The Point* (*The Power Point), which went on a two-time extended sell-out UK nationwide tour, including four shows at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and a date at the Eventim Apollo and to New York for a ten-night run off-Broadway.
Dave Gorman – Powerpoint King
As the title suggests, he’s bringing his laptop and projector screen with him so expect the ‘King of Powerpoint comedy’ (Guardian) to have more detailed analysis of those parts of life you’ve never stopped to think about before. Hey, not all heroes wear capes.
The news coincides with ratings and critical hit, Dave Gorman Modern Life Is Goodish returning to Dave for a fifth series. After attracting a peak of 1.5 million viewers and regularly receiving a total audience of over a million per episode in series four, the show is one of UKTV’s most successful original commissions.
As well as writing and starring in five series of Dave Gorman Modern Life Is Goodish on Dave, he has had two series of Genius with Dave Gorman broadcast on BBC Two and saw his Channel 4 documentary, America Unchained win the audience award for Best Documentary Feature at the Austin Film Festival and secure nomination for a Broadcast Award. Dave has also starred in, co-wrote and produced the critically acclaimed The Dave Gorman Collection for BBC Two, which was closely followed by his second project for the channel, Dave Gorman’s Important Astrology Experiment.
