There is to be a public advance screening for High & Dry, the new sitcom from Marc Wootton. Fans can see it at the BFI on the South Bank in London on March 5. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Wootton and members of the cast including Vicki Pepperdine, Asim Chaudhry and Harry Peacock.
High & Dry is a new six-part sitcom for E4. Having crash landed in a tropical paradise, narcissistic flight attendant Brett Sullivan puts himself in charge of the island. Which is bad news for the rest of the castaways as they soon realise they’re stranded with the world’s worst human and forced to do whatever it takes to survive.
Starring: Marc Wootton (La La Land, My New Best Friend) as Brett Sullivan, Asim Chaudhry (People Just Do Nothing) as Zombie obsessed Arnab, Harry Peacock (Toast of London) as cautious family man Douglas, Vicki Pepperdine (Getting On) as plain speaking Harriet and Grace Rex (Master of None) as dutiful Susan.
Jack Bayles, Commissioning Editor, adds: “In High & Dry, Marc has conceived a brilliantly ambitious, yet utterly ridiculous new sitcom. Alongside Brett - truly the air steward from hell - is a fantastic assortment of characters played by a wonderful ensemble cast. It’s totally, totally nuts and we love it.”
High & Dry is commissioned by Fiona McDermott, Head of Comedy for Channel 4. Jack Bayles serves as Commissioning Editor. The series is produced by Baby Cow Productions with Paul Schlesinger and Christine Langan serving as executive producer and Kerry Waddell as producer. The series is directed by Dave Lambert (Zapped, Alan Partridge).
