Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan has revealed that he is now clear of cancer.
Yesterday he tweeted that having had a testicle removed he was now about to embark on a course of chemotherapy.
But today he tweeted some good news: "Well, holy shit. I just saw my oncologist. Everything’s clear. No chemo! Can’t believe it! NO CHEMO! Have been organising my life around the idea that the next three months were just *gone*!"
This is a busy time for Linehan. He is currently working on a musical stage version of Father Ted entitled Pope Ted and a second series of Motherland, which he co-wrote, has just been commissioned by the BBC.
