Interview: Rarely Asked Questions – Anuvab Pal

The British Empire gave Indian stand-up Anuvab Pal a colonial accent and British values and suddenly left. Now he lives in contemporary India – a billion confident humans, fed on social media and American consumerism and way past their colonial hangover. How does a man still under the British influence survive in ‘New India’? Nobody knows... least of all him. Join one of India’s top comics for his Fringe debut on a journey to understanding his own kind of Brexit.

Anuvab Pal is at the Pleasance Courtyard from August 1 - 26. Buy tickets here,

Earnestness. Treachery. Puns.

3. What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?

Taken a home loan. (I think it's called a mortgage in Britain).

4. What is the most stupid thing you have ever done?

Tried to have a comedy career as an English language comedian in a nation where 3/4 of the people do not speak English.
