Petfringe's Comedian of the Year 2019 has launched. A cash prize of £10,001 is waiting to be won by one lucky stand-up comedian. This is Britain’s largest comedy prize in cash terms (by a penny), so is definitely not to be laughed at.

Anyone who fancies doing a bit of a stand-up, and being in with a chance of winning, should head to the Petfringe website - www.petfringe.co.uk  where entries are now open, until the 3rd February. 

Heats will be taking place all over England and Wales – Bedford, Cardiff, Chatham, Chesham, Exeter, Guildford, London, Petworth, Sheffield, Sunbury and Sutton Coldfield.  The competition comes to a head at the Petfringe festival in July where the Comedian of the Year will be crowned and receive their cash prize of £10,001, which is bound to give them some laughs.
