Comedian and star of I, Daniel Blake Dave Johns is to co-star with Alison Steadman in a new film about a couple who fall for each other while walking their dogs.

Deadline reports that Paul Morrison will direct 23 Walks, which tells the story of "Dave and Fern, two strangers who meet walking their dogs in a North London park. Over the course of twenty-three walks together romance begins to blossom but the two also hide secrets which could derail their newfound love."

Johns posted the news on Facebook and said that Steadman is "a great laugh and a top lass."
