To mark twenty-five years since the death of outlaw comic Bill Hicks, Bill’s brother Steve Hicks (via Skype) will be joining a panel to remember the life of the iconic comedian at a special tribute night which also includes a screening of the acclaimed documentary American: The Bill Hicks Story. 

Chris Bould, director of Bill’s legendary 1993 stand-up show Revelations, and the directors of the American: The Bill Hicks Story, Matt Harlock and Paul Thomas,also  join the line-up along with a special host TBA.

Regularly voted one of the top comics of all time, award-winning documentary American: The Bill Hicks Story recounts his fascinating and ultimately uplifting life story, told by those that knew him best. Made in close association with Bill’s family and friends, it features unprecedented access to unseen archive material using a stunning animation technique throughout.

Bill Hicks died aged 32 on Feb 26th, 1994, and since then his reputation has only grown. In 2010, he was No. 4 on Channel 4's list of the "100 Greatest Stand-Up Comics". In 2017, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him No. 13 on its list of the 50 best stand-up comics of all time. Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused; School of Rock) has been confirmed to direct an upcoming biopic.

Always controversial, often confrontational, as a staunch believer in freedom of speech, Hick’s material feels relevant now more than ever. 

Due to public demand, following on from 10 years of sold out Bill Hicks Tribute nights, this special event takes place at the Curzon Soho on the eve of Bill’s anniversary, with proceeds going to the Bill Hicks Wildlife Foundation.
