Open Air Festival With Simon Amstell, Sara Pascoe, Nish Kumar

Simon Amstell is to perform his acclaimed show What is This? for the final time, at EartH Hackney on Friday 3rd May 2019 at 6.30pm and 9.00pm. Tickets go on sale on Thursday 28th March at the link belowThese special one hour performances will be the only stand up shows that Simon will be performing this year in the UK.

Combining the most personal elements of What is This? and a little of Simon’s previous show To be Free, the two performances will be filmed for release at a later date. With intense vulnerability and honesty, Amstell promises a deeply revealing and funny exploration of beauty, intimacy, freedom, sex and love. 

Simon’s feature film Benjamin premiered at the London Film Festival in 2018 and was recently released in cinemas to huge critical acclaim. Simon’s first feature length film Carnage aired on BBC iPlayer in May 2017 and is still available to watch. 

Following a sold out UK tour with residencies in London and New York of What Is This?, his hugely popular debut book Help, was published by Penguin Random House. His previous stand up tours include To Be Free (UK & USA),Numb (UK, Ireland, USA & Australia) and Do Nothing (UK & Ireland). Simon has previously written (alongside Dan Swimer) and starred in Grandma’s House (BBC Two). 

Simon was the youngest finalist of the BBC New Comedy Award and has since won an RTS Award, a Broadcast Award, two British Comedy Awards and has been nominated for a BAFTA.
