Liverpool's Hot Water Comedy Club is to open a branch in Manchester this May.
The club started off from humble beginnings in Liverpool back in 2010. Since then they have conquered the region, with two purpose build comedy clubs in the city regularly selling out seven nights a week. Such is the magnitude of their success that they even promoted a nationwide sell out tour for their resident compere, Paul Smith.
The hugely popular club had over 200 million video views across their social media channels last year alone.
Recently the club has won a whole host of industry accolades, including three awards for Best Comedy Club and two for best social media channel. Their new Manchester show will run weekly on a Thursday night, and the owners are excited about the challenge of living up to their rapidly growing reputation.
“Our ethos is simple” says co-founder Paul Blair, “we bring the best acts in the country right to your doorstep. From well established names to famous faces, we work hard to create an unforgettable night of comedy, and people have really bought into that. I can’t wait to show the people of Manchester what we’re all about. Expect the biggest and best acts from the UK and beyond!”
Over the last 12 months they’ve hosted the likes of Russell Kane, Paul Smith, Chris Ramsey, Gary Delaney and John Bishop, as well as promoting the next generation of comedy talent with acts such as Adam Rowe, Freddy Quinne and Danny McLoughlin.
Hot Water Comedy Club Manchester will be located at Theatre Impossible at 36 Peter Street, M2 5QR and will officially open on Thursday June 6th. Tickets are currently available via the Hot Water Comedy Club website - https://www.hotwatercomedy.co.uk/manchester
