Sketch group Tarot will embark on a UK tour with their debut show after a completely sold out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019, including a run of extra dates in Pleasance’s Pleasance Two venue.
The tour will kick off on Saturday April 4th in Bristol and will run through to Saturday May 30th, with two extra performances added in Soho Theatee’s Downstairs space added due to demand.
Tarot is a new project from the twisted minds of Gein's Family Giftshop ('Brilliant' (Reece Shearsmith)) and sweaty bodies of Goose ('Brilliant' (Guardian)). Across Britain, live tarot readings will be held with sketches spinning out of the cards. As the show nears its end, the significance of the reading as a whole begins to come into focus.
Directed by Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Tarot is an interactive, fast-paced sketch show inspired by and based on a love of tarot reading. With the audience choosing the show’s tarot cards, each night of the tour will be completely different.
Support on all dates (apart from London and Machynlleth) comes in the form of sets from both Goose and Gein’s Family Giftshop.
Tarot are Ed Easton (Dave’s Porters), Kath Hughes (Channel 4/Netflix’s The End of the F***ing World), Adam Drake (BBC’s Lazy Susan short), Ben Rowse (#1 Podcast Capital), and Kiri Pritchard-McLean (Live At The Apollo, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order).
