News: BBC To Air Tribute To Tim Brooke-Taylor

A tribute to Tim Brooke-Taylor will air today (Monday) at 6.30pm on BBC Radio 4. 47 Years Without A Clue: A Tribute To Tim Brooke-Taylor is written and introduced by Graeme Garden and produced by Jon Naismith. It features memorable moments from his career as well as many loving contributions from friends and colleagues.

The renowned radio panellist and Goodie died on April 12, aged 79. He had contracted coronavirus.

Brooke-Taylor was a long-time member of the I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue team on Radio 4.

At the time of his death Graeme Garden said he was "terribly saddened by the loss of a dear colleague and close friend of over 50 years. He was a funny, sociable, generous man who was a delight to work with. Audiences found him not only hilarious but also adorable. His loss at this dreadful time is particularly hard to bear, and my thoughts are with Christine, Ben, Edward and their families."

Bill Oddie tweeted: "No-one could wear silly costumes or do dangerous stunts like Tim. I know it hurt cos he used to cry a lot. Sorry Timbo."
