Stand-up comedy night isobelly laughs is going online for a lockdown special on Thursday, May 7 at 7.30pm.
The headline act is Sophie Duker (8 Out of 10 Cats, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Mock the Week). Sophie will be joined by Cally Beaton, who is best known for her performances on QI, The Apprentice You’re Fired & Blame Game. Joby Mageean, Leicester Square Comedian of the Year 2016, completes the line-up.
Mike Shephard, who writes for Have I Got News For You, will return as compere. Mike commented: "I can't wait to host the first ever online isobelly laughs. After a month of lockdown, there's finally something I won't be embarrassed for my wife to see what I'm doing on my laptop. We've got some absolutely top-notch acts, and we will be raising money for a very important cause. So, make sure that 7th May is the one day of the week that you shower and put some clean pants on, and we'll see you there!"
The event will be raising money for Women’s Aid. Domestic abuse has tragically been on the rise during this lockdown period, so it’s an important charity to support right now. Donations can be made via the event’s Just Giving page here.
