This year's Bafta TV awards nominations have been announced and there are nods for a number of current comedy favourites.
The nominations for Female Performance in a Comedy Programme are GBEMISOLA IKUMELO in Famalam, PHOEBE WALLER-BRIDGE in Fleabag, SARAH KENDALL in Frayed and SIAN CLIFFORD in Fleabag.
The nominations for Male Performance in a Comedy Programme are GUZ KHAN in Man Like Mobeen, JAMIE DEMETRIOU in Stath Lets Flats, NCUTI GATWA in Sex Education and YOUSSEF KERKOUR in Home.
The Comedy Entertainment Programme nominations are THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW, THE LAST LEG, THE RANGANATION and TASKMASTER.
Entertanment Performance nomiations are FRANKIE BOYLE in Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, GRAHAM NORTON in The Graham Norton Show, LEE MACK in Would I Lie to You and MO GILLIGAN in The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.
In the Breakthrough Talent category AISLING BEA is nominated for This Way Up and so is LAURIE NUNN for Sex Education.
And the Features category is dominated by comedians too, with nominations for JOE LYCETT’S GOT YOUR BACK, THE MISADVENTURES OF ROMESH RANGANATHAN, MORTIMER & WHITEHOUSE: GONE FISHING and SNACKMASTERS.
And the Confession Scene from Fleabag is up for Virgin Media's Must-See Moment alongside Nessa proposing to Smithy in Gavin & Stacey - the winner for this category is chosen by the public. Vote here.
The winners will be announced on 31 July at a ceremony hosted by Richard Ayoade.
