Mike Henry has announced that he is stepping down from playing Cleveland in Family Guy.
Henry announced the news that he would no longer be voicing Cleveland Brown on Seth McFarlane's hit show on Twitter: "It’s been an honor to play Cleveland on Family Guy for 20 years. I love this character, but persons of color should play characters of color. Therefore, I will be stepping down from the role."
And the producers of The Simpsons have announced that white actors will no longer voice non-white characters in their long-running hit sitcom broadcast on Fox Network.
Earlier this year Hank Azaria said that he was stepping down from the role of Indian-American shopkeeper Apu.
