Ruby Wax will be doing free topical online sessions - ‘Frazzled in the time of Corona’
For anyone feeling anxious, lonely, perplexed, overwhelmed or frazzled, there are free daily online meetings where you can talk about how you are feeling with like-minded people. The groups are the brainchild of comedian, author and mental health advocate, Ruby Wax, who created these safe spaces for people to connect when she founded the charity Frazzled Cafe.
Next week, Ruby is piloting a new live show format which she hopes will let more people know about Frazzled Cafe as a free resource that they can dip into when needed, whilst also raising funds to help the charity make meetings available for even more of those in need.
In her inimitable honest and humorous style, Ruby will share some of her thoughts on life in lockdown as well as answering questions from the online audience.
The hour long show combines mindfulness, comedy and insight about why we all got frazzled in the first place and what we can do to de-frazzle ourselves. This will be followed by a Q&A session where the audience will have the chance to ask questions of Ruby directly.
She will also be previewing her new book, "And Now for the Good News....To the Future with Love," which comes out in September 2020. In writing the book, for the last two years Ruby has travelled the globe to find where the green shoots of hope are growing.
‘Frazzled in the time of Corona’ will be streamed live for 60 minutes on Friday 10 July at 6.30pm. Tickets are available to purchase now from £10 with all proceeds going to support Frazzled Cafe.
More information and tickets are available at www.frazzledcafe.org - where the free online meetings can also be booked.
Ruby Wax’s new book, And Now for the Good News…To the Future with Love is published by Penguin Life on 17th September.
