Comedy Central UK has revealed the host and ten-strong line up of rising comedians who will star in Comedy Central at the Edinburgh Fringe; a brand new 10 x 7-min digital series in association with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society.

Stand-up comedian and Comedy Central at the Comedy Store star Jamali Maddix will host the series that sees ten comedians perform stand up sets in front of a virtual audience.

The talent starring in the show include Joanne McNally, 2018 Funny Women Award winner Thanyia Moore, 2Northdown New Act of the Year Leo Reich, Best Newcomer nominee at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2019 Helen Bauer, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year nominee Travis Jay, Funny Women Regional Finalist 2017 Fatiha El-Ghorri, Christopher Bliss (The Paddock), Wayne Mazadza, Jamie D’Souza (BBC New Comedy Awards 2019 shortlist) and Kuan-wen.

The series will air across Comedy Central’s Facebook, YouTube and Instagram channels on weeknights starting on 17th August with a special linear highlights episode airing on Comedy Central UK on 28th August. 

The series is created by Executive Producers Rebecca Hewett and Craig Orr and Development Producer Emerald Paston for Comedy Central International and produced by Executive Producer Chris Jones and Producer Leah Draws for Electric Robin. The stand-up sets were pre-recorded in July in front of a live virtual audience made up of individuals and households hand-picked from the Fringe community and beyond.
