Due to the coronavirus situation, stand-up comedian and TV host Chris Ramsey has rescheduled his sold out, twice extended Chris Ramsey 20/20 live tour, moving from September 2020 to September 2021. With 14 extra dates added to the tour, the second leg will now kick off at London’s Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith on 3rd September, ending in Fife’s Alhambra on 21st November.
With over 100 dates, including London’s iconic Hackney Empire and a homecoming performance at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena (having filled the venue twice previously), expect even more of Chris’ high energy, life affirming, trademark stand-up from his biggest ever nationwide tour. Chris said, “I’m absolutely gutted to have to move another tour because of the coronavirus. But not as gutted as I am that I called it the 2020 tour. Going to feel pretty stupid going out on stage in 2021 under the name of the worst year ever. But at least I’ll be going out!”
In the last year, Chris reached the semi-finals of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing and released a brand new stand-up special, Approval Needed, on Amazon Prime. Chris has also appeared on TV as a regular host on The One Show (BBC1), The Chris Ramsey Show, and Stand Up Central (Comedy Central) I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp (ITV2), Virtually Famous (E4) and this autumn will be hosting Little Mix: The Search (BBC1).
Chris starred as Jack in two series of critically-acclaimed sitcom Hebburn (BBC2), co-starring Vic Reeves and alongside his wife Rosie on Married to a Celebrity and Parenting for Idiots (Channel 4). Chris and Rosie launched a brand new podcast series – Shagged. Married. Annoyed which has now been downloaded over 43 million times and won the Global Awards’ Best Podcast, and British Podcast Awards Listeners’ Choice 2020. Their sold out, record breaking first ever live Shagged. Married. Annoyed. podcast shows kick off in the spring/summer 2021 and their debut book, Sh**ged. Married. Annoyed was released on 3rd September and made The Sunday Times Number One Best Seller in its first week of sales.
