The UK Comedy Awards will return this year.
The annual awards are the comedians comedian awards in which professional comedians vote for their peers.
Last year's winners of the main award were The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue (pictured).
John Moloney, founder of the awards, said: "Despite the majority of live work being cancelled this year due to the virus - we have decided nevertheless to continue with the UK Comedy Awards - the awards voted by comedians for comedians.
It is important this year, arguably more than any year, to give a performer, an MC, a promoter and a lifetime/outstanding achievement nominee a much-needed morale boost.
Special emphasis should go to promoters and club-owners, who have gone the extra mile to make their venues safe for the public. And many have done this at great expense, only to see their venues closed down (again) with little notice.
Performers too have tried their best to keep comedy alive through virtual zoom gigs and podcasts - as have clubs such as The Stand, The Comedy Store, Hot Water, The Komedia to name just a few.
If the comedy industry can take a positive from this awful year - it lies in the fact that all sides of the industry have pulled together to keep it alive. I guarantee we will be back at a venue near you very soon - bigger and better than ever."
The categories will remain the same and voting details will follow.
