Following a successful debut tour culminating at The Leicester Square Theatre and a recording of a sold out hometown gig, stand up comic Andrew Bird is back with a brand new show, titled Invincible.
Bird was in the news last year as he was compering at the Lone Wolf Comedy Club at the Atic in Bicester on the night that controversial comedian Ian Cognito died onstage.
After the traumatic event of seeing a revered, legendary comedian literally dying in front of him and the fall out making global news, Bird says it’s hard to take anything seriously. His new show includes opinions on Prince Andrew, learning Slovakian, “millennial grandparents” and how the people you look up to seem invincible.
In recent years Bird has supported Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon, Jason Manford, John Bishop, America’s Brian Regan and on his arena tour Michael McIntyre, including Wembley and the O2. He’s written on TV shows including Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Lee Mack’s Duck Quacks Don’t Echo and is a regular guest on BBC Radio’s The Rhod Gilbert Show.
Andrew Bird has also launched a new podcast featuring comedians talking about music. Details here.
