News: Radio 4 To Broadcast Nicholas Parsons Evening

Broadcaster Nicholas Parsons left £25,000 in his will to pay for a party for friends.

According to The Sun, The late Just A Minute host, who died aged 96 last January, wanted to money to pay for a celebratory night. 

The comedian told them: “It should celebrate happy memories, not be a sad farewell.”

The veteran comedian, who also fronted ITV game show Sale of the Century, left £1million to second wife Annie, 81, and his children from his first marriage, Suzy, 62, and Justin, 60.

He left his collection of theatre memorabilia, including his office desk to his daughter-in-law Louise and gave £5,000 to entertainment charity The Grand Order of the Water Rats.
