Writer and broadcaster Danny Baker has tweeted the planned transmission date of the second series of his sitcom Cradle To Grave.
Danny Baker is to become a children's author. The writer has signed a two-book contract with Hodder Children’s Books.
Update 13/11: Despite suggesting we take the rumours with a pinch of salt Danny Baker may be joining this year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. His Twitter feed recently said: "Man with no phone goes out all day – no tweets. Another long one tomorrow too." Followers responded by speculating that he was on a long flight to join the programme, which starts on ITV1 this evening. Also on the Paddy Power website Baker is currently second favourite to win at 4/1 behind Gogglebox star Scarlet Moffatt....

Cradle to Grave certainly doesn’t hang about. It’s the second episode and we are already doing that well-trodden comedy trope, the holiday away from home. Except on this occasion it’s only a quick caravan break and barely takes up more than one scene.
One of the great things about this sitcom based on Danny Baker’s autobiography focussing on his 1970s childhood is that it rattles from incident to incident at breakneck speed. The script is stripped to the bone. There isn’t a line or a set-up that doesn’t lead to a pay-off.
