The Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz are set to welcome a new face to the TARDIS later this year as actor and comedian John Bishop joins the cast as ‘Dan’.
As he becomes embroiled in the Doctor’s adventures, Dan will quickly learn there’s more to the Universe(s) than he could ever believe. Travelling through Space and Time alongside the Doctor and Yaz, he’ll face evil alien races beyond his wildest nightmares.
Some of the UK's top comedians will be playing open air gigs in the summer of 2021.
John Bishop will be headlining seven shows also featuring Jason Manford, Katherine Ryan, Dara O Briain, James Acaster, Al Murray, Rob Beckett, Tom Davis, Fern Brady, Russell Kane, Desiree Burch and many more.
Comedian John Bishop has announced a major tour for 2021/2022.
Kicking off in Peterborough on 21 September 2021, his Right Here, Right Now tour will visit major theatres and arenas around the UK and Ireland before culminating at The O2 in London on 8 April 2022. Tickets go on sale at 10am this Friday, 18 September here.
The next series of stand-up show Live at the Apollo will be a compilation series with themed editions.
The first one will air at 9pm on BBC Two on August 20 and will feature comedians talking about relationships.
This half hour episode will feature John Bishop, Sarah Millican, Phil Wang, Ellie Taylor, Ed Byrne, Gary Delaney, Laura Lexx and Tom Stade.
The next new series will not be until 2021.
The Wicksteed Open Air Theatre has announced their first big event for 2021. Comedy In The Park, an all-day comedy extravaganza, will take place at the stunning grounds on Wicksteed Park on Saturday 26th June 2021. John Bishop headlines the event with support from James Acaster, Rob Beckett, Al Murray, Judi Love and host Tom Davis.

The comedy host will be John Bishop. More names will be announced in the run-up to the show. In the past comic legends including Russell Brand, Little Britain and Peter Kay have been among the stars to play the event.
John Bishop is hitting the road in 2020.
But this is not a traditional tour, it's a warm-up tour to try out new material. So we presume this means it is a chance to see him in smaller venues for a smaller price before he returns with the finished show and plays bigger venues.

The superstar stand-up will take a look back at the week’s events in his own inimitable style. During the show - which will air weekly - he will be joined by contributors and guests, some of whom may return, to dissect the news of the week in a light-hearted way.
