Interview: Kiri Pritchard-McLean On Hosting BBC Three's Stand Up for Live Comedy

Kiri Pritchard-McLean is the host of the latest edition of BBC Three's Stand Up For Live Comedy. It is available on iPlayer now here and on BBC1 on Monday, Octobee 26 at 10.45pm too. It was filmed in Margate. 

As well as McLean MCing, the guests are Vlad Ilich, Jonny Pelham and Priya Hall.

Manchester comedy club the Frog & Bucket has staged the first official post-lockdown indoor comedy gig.

It was the first of two pilots this week which will test how viable comedy shows will be under the latest Covid19 regulations.

Manchester's Frog and Bucket comedy club has been chosen to produce a pilot live comedy show on Wednesday 29 July ahead of other venues opening on Saturday 1 August.

The evening will be a showcase and fundraiser for the Women in Comedy Festival with the all female line consisting of Shazia Mirza, Kiri Pritchard-McLean (pictured), Barbara Nice and Ola Labib.

Online comedy club and pub The Covid Arms has broken the World Record for the most visitors to a virtual pub.

The Friday night 'lock in' had 6,215 visitors and raised over £32,000 for charity.

‘Landlady’ Kiri Pritchard-Mclean was joined by celebrity guests and the result was ratified by a representative of Guinness World Records on the night.

BBC Comedy Commissioning is delighted to announce the recipient of this year’s Caroline Aherne Bursary is comedian and writer Kiri Pritchard-McLean. 

The bursary, which was launched in memory of comedy star Caroline Aherne, is aimed at writer/performers and awards £5000 to the successful applicant to enable them to fund future development of their work. Kiri will also receive mentorship from a BBC Comedy Commissioning Editor to develop a comedy script.
